We're perfect now...

and so on and so on.

Anyway… we just think it sounds cool: Abe Ivey.

Richard Abraham Ivey was born Monday, January 29 at 6:37 AM. He came in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces and 19.5 inches long. He may be short, but he's damn cute.

Bethany was a real champ throughout the "breathe, breathe, push... OK here we go again..." and deserves all the love and prayers you might send her way. Abe is sweet as he can be, eating well, sleeping OK and making his Daddy very, very proud.

It's amazing what a man and a woman and God and a crappy contraceptive can accomplish.

My joy... my boy... my little Abraham.

Anna Beth was very excited to "get" another baby brother. I think Merrie Cannon is already giving her a run for her money as far as girly-stuff goes. She's not the least bit intimidated by another brother.

Ben would only be happier if his Mom had birthed Spider-Man. For now, Abraham will do just fine, thank you.

Merrie Cannon has surprised us a little. She's so excited. She squeals and spits out her pacifier every time Abe is carried through the room. She sees the new baby as her own, and we fully expect baby Abe to have several new bruises before week's end.

All in all, we're perfect now. Mom and baby are well, and the doctor's tell us the jaundice will go away very soon...
